Well, i finally got the hang of UV texturing (much later than i would have hoped.). i made a simple Sears tower model that took me.. oh.. say 10 minutes. I then took on the arduous 2-3 hour task of making textures. I am quite pleased with the way it turned out.

Made with Blender 2.43a
original resolution: 1024x768
Render Time: about 4 hours (forgot to check the exact time)

  • this isn't proportionately accurate is it?

  • Well, the physical building is fairly accurate. I may be off on number of windows (i never officially counted), but I did model it against a diagram that was also pretty accurate. The other buildings however are made up, and dont really have proportions to match to XD.

  • That is good - I like how you've got real-time glass reflection. Is there a way to do this with PhotoShop? Like onto a basic cube?? I'd appreciate if you could explain how to do a reflective texture.

  • Essentially what I did was, i took a texture that was basically black where i wanted it to reflect and white where i didnt, and you apply that texture to RayMir rather than the default Col. It's mostly blender.

  • NOW BLOW IT UP!

  • Missing a few features.

Should've created the floors and inside detail.

    Antennas.

Darker glass and less reflective and this model will look soo real. Great Job!! 5!!
