nice video---i have an addition----skirts cut on the bias need to hang for a while( a week or 2---wetting the skirt helps).The bias material stretches and will need to be trimmed before hemming.

Just wanted to say that I followed your instructions and went with just leaving one side open ... It is now finished and it looks fab!!! Couldnt have done it without this video.

Brilliant helpful video, thank you! I just wanted to ask; The finished skirt has a split up the side. Is this a split you have cut in after you sewed the last seam together or is this just the last seam not sewn all the way to the bottom?

@ohhlaala Thank you. This particular skirt just has the side seam left open at the bottom. The person who I made this skirt for likes less of a leggy look. However if you want a more leggy look, I usually do an extra step and trim a small amount of fabric from each side of the split/open seam. That way the split is "open" and visible at all times. Hope this helps
