This reminds me of waking up early at about 5:00 in the morning, packing up your stuff, and just leaving your home, possibly forever, for a great adventure into parts unknown. There's no guarantee of your safety on your adventure, but the joy of leaving home to explore the unknown world overcomes the trials and the fear of death. The bittersweet moment of leaving your home, only to be overcome with the idea that your home is just a house... and the unexplored world IS your home.

it makes me think of the forest, and the days you had a field trip in elementary school. When you were little, and time went so slowly and everything was beautiful because it was new to you. The rush of the wind in the autumn fields. The quiet and serene times near a lake. The fog in the morning. And ones first love.
