Bohren & der Club of Gore - brilliant noir jazz band founded in 1992 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany by Thorsten Benning (drums), Morten Gass (keys), Reiner Henseleit (guitar), and Robin Rodenberg (upright / double bass). They play a crossover of jazz and ambient, which they self described as an unholy ambient mixture of slow jazz ballads, Black Sabbath doom and down tuned Autopsy sounds.

This is the 4th track from "Dolores", released in 2008.

I saw these guys in NY last year when they were promoting this album.

Nobody in the club made a sound except to applaud between songs.

Plus they used very little lighting on stage which really set the mood.

@retsamgod know exactly what you mean. when i first discovered sunset mission id close my eyes and buy the end of the album id almost forgotten where i was sitting :) and no its not over the top. this music is over the top powerful ;)
