Just a thought to consider about the Pessoa...I have been using one for many years on my mare, until I realised that the part that passes behind the hocks causes the bit to jab her in the mouth from the action of her hocks! Kinda counter productive ina way, so I still use it but have seperated the ropes so that the ropes to the bit are seperated from the hocks, and the difference in her way of going is marked!! Try for your self and see!

Hi there - Lovely, handsome horse.
Just wondering (Tell me to get lost if u wish!) but does he have an issue on his hind, left leg? It just looks stiff as he comes back to trot?

You have a good eye. He had a bad cut on his left hock which has left a scar. At the time this was taken, the scar had not fully healed so there was a bit of stiffness due to the scarring. It's not obvious now.
