Tony, YOUR the MAN!
My Instructor thought VERY highly of you, and your methods, as do I. I hope to train with you in the future.
All the best,
Clint
PS - My Instructor was Carl Cestari

@swiftlessons His students have competed. He had a brain bleed.

@Mider999 damn, didn't I comment on this a long time ago... I've been seeing a lot about tony online for a lot of years, any issues in regards to his health I'm unaware of...all I was saying is that if you are claiming to be the authority on Catch, or any kind of martial art then you should have competed on some level. I plan to teach someday and produce useful videos to help other fighters, thats why i'm learning my lessons now and competing as much as I can in CBJJ's, GQ's and Naga's.

@Mider999 Thanks for the info. I don't know about Gokor, but I'd assume he'd incorporate it into his teachings, as Paulson does with his CSW. Cecchine only certified 5 guys in 10 years? At this point, I'd pay for lessons from someone who's learned from him, regardless of if he's been certified.
Also, why do you speak ill of Jake Shannon? I don't know anything about him, but if Paulson and Robinson affiliate with him, why the hate?
-
@ErikPaulsonFan well Billy Robinson is olddd and affilates with that scumbag jake shannon and Ive heard shannon with certify you in catch for the right price. I think Carl Gotch and Lue Thesz have passed on. Gene Lebell is retired and I dont think His student Gokor teaches hooking. Paulson was mentioned but later on was not mentioned. As for Tony's students he has certied only like 5 guys in ten years. His gym is private by appointment only I think near O'hera airport.

@Mider999 Perhaps, but I'm sure Mr. Cecchine has had many students over the years (as well as the other hookers you have mentioned), who can teach what they've learned. I have no doubt there's a decent sized number of people in NYC and the surrounding area who would be interested in learning Catch. I'm so jealous of people who train in it regularly.

@KJGould Who else teaches hooking? Id be interestd insomeone who teaches hooking in L.A. i once contacted Tony's website and he said Gene Lebell knew how to hook and Erik Paulson and someone in the Inosanto Academy. But I contacted a Second time and someone maybe it wasnt Tony said that if i wanted to knew proper catch wrestling id have to go to Chicago. I asked Erik Paulson what a hook was and he gave me a wrong definition

@ramostarr He aint no fraud. He's one of the only true catch wrestlers. People talk crap about him cause of jake shannon and people believe jake shanon cause he's friends with billy robinson. Lou Thesz says that only 4 people he knew where hookers himself, Tony Cecchine, Billy Robinson, and Carl Gotch. Today BJJ is dominating the grappling world but a catch wrestler trained by billy robinson defeated alot of the gracies
-
@swiftlessons The guy has bad health who do you want him to fight in his condition? He is a hooker. Who have you ever fought? Anyway Tony's students have gone on to compete and win in UFC.
-
@ErikPaulsonFan The thing about catch is that according to Tony hardly anyone teaches it properly. If you look at the tape of Lue Thesz it only mentions 4 people who do hooking properly, and they are Carl Gotch, Lue Thesz, Tony Cecchine and Billy Robinson.
Respectfully, it's not name dropping, when these are the names of the very same men that Tony once mentioned during an interview that he did in 1999 (i.e. with the exception of Roy Wolf in Wigan). It's more like quoting. As for DVD's....nahhh. I'd much to see the action in person where I can participate & ask questions.

@Davo53209 What interview? Got a link or a more specific reference? And what was the context? After all, we've just now mentioned these men here, and that doesn't make them hookers, either.
