  • hey i just got my light sport rating out where i'm going to school (in Maryland) but i'm originally from Poway, do you know which airports have light sport aircraft rentals? I did a web search and found San Diego Sport Flyers out of Gillespie but I was hoping that there'd be something at Montgomery maybe...

  • @dbiz11 I know there are a few around. There are 2 at Ramona...a Tecnam Bravo and an Evektor Sportstar. I believe there is another Tecnam Bravo at Oceanside. I haven't seen or know of any lightsports at Montgomery for rent.

  • I just took my first ever flying lesson in a 2009 Tecnam Sierra LSA. Thank you for posting this video so I can re-live what was probably the most amazing thing I've ever done. I didn't see any other women besides me at the airport (let alone women flying planes!) and I have no airplane experience whatsoever, so the entire 1+ hour experience was literally mind blowing. I go back in a week to start work on my Pilot's License. I am counting the days.

  • @kimberlyanne546 Just wait until you do your first solo! Thanks for the positive feedback. It's nice to see other people experience the excitement and challenges of aviation. You may want to check out joining the EAA and or AOPA...they are great organizations and provide lots of resources for pilots. You may also want to check out "The Ninety-Nines, Inc." Good luck.

  • Bravo! Now that's how you do a flying vid! No silly pop tunes covering the prop noise or weird camera angles. I felt like I was in the plane with you.

Ton of fun! Good job! Start my license in a few months. This video is such an inspiration

  • Thanks. I have a setup now that also records cockpit audio, radios, etc. Hoping to get some videos uploaded soon with the new setup...waiting on a new computer since my other one decided to get sick and die. Also, subscribe to my videos if you like. Are you going for the sport pilot rating?

  • Great videos... I went through the whole Private-instrument-commercial route and finally found that flying LS aircraft are WAY more fun! I'm looking at getting checked out in a Sierra, in addition to my current tailwheel endorsment. :)

    Happy landings!

  • @909kick - Just did my first solo! I am not done with the "full" video but you can see my first landing on my YouTube.

  • This is a Really Good Video :)

I take flight instruction out of Chesterfield County, Virginia (FCI) in a Tecnam P2004 Bravo LSA. I enjoy it. I have logged 8.7 Hrs so far. I try to get my landings down as well as the approaches using 80, 70, and 60 kts and lowering the flaps. I have done plenty of power on stalls.

  • Terrific video! Love to hear the engine nose. Great job and thanks for sharing.

  • Nice video. I learned to fly in a Remos G3. The flight school in Denton, TX just bought a Sierra. I am looking forward to checking it out.

Nice job on the touch and go's.
