  • TRUE: Winemaker Tom Carson feels that the more people drink Australian wine, the more they will discover the regional differences of the wine.

  • @Oruper I am in Auckland, NZ, but Bruce is correct. Europe is bigger than Australia in the geographical sense, but in terms of the wine growing area, Australia is bigger. A simple example: Scandinavia and Russia can not grow grapes because it is too close to the Arctic circle.

  • 0:34 he says Australia is bigger than Europe :)) He might be good at wines but he doesn't know geography

    Europe : Area 10,180,000 km2

    Australia: Area 7,617,930 km2

  • Can't believe I am the first person to comment lol !!! Absolutely mad on Aussie Wines - my friend Anna and I spend most of our time talking about it (how sad is that!!!)Big/Juicy/Plummy/Blackcurrant amazing wines - think a lot of the French wines can be elegant and smooth - but I always feel when you open a really good Aussie Wine it jumps out at you and punches you right between the eyes - so full of flavour. Thanks for Posting this - really interesting.
