@WFO426 It's the air intake for the engine, just like the JEEP Wrangler has. Helps to go thru deep waters.

30 seconds later it probably overheated since going into deep water pulls your fan blades forward into your radiator and punctures it. Off road guys use electric fans they can shut off when doing deep water crossings.
