Flying in ESSU during difficult turbulence conditions. RWY 18 was used and winds were 260/14-19kts

At 3:01 you can see the 19kts gust just when I was going to touchdown.
Enjoy!

  • Only thing I see EXTREME about this video is the title..

  • @Jamesfromnyc

True to all the comments, though it sure felt like extreme after only 20h total time. :)

Today I know better, I'd call that moderate at best. Will change title :) Sorry about that guys

  • ESSZ, Vängsö. it's a small grassfield with two runways incorporated into the field itself. roughly 600m long

  • Why the fuck is this song here?

  • I'll give you that it's continuous light turbulence, and occasional moderate, but I'm not seeing your head hit the ceiling, I'm not seeing things that would case structural damage, and you're doing a fair job of controlling the A/C, which wouldn't be the case in extreme turbulence. Please don't pass any PIREPs regarding TB until you really get your cherry popped.

  • Is it real or is it a simulator?

  • pleas give me name frist song put. i love

  • Agree with most posters. I never bash any video cause without them we would have nothing to watch. However, that is no where near "extreme" turbulence; mild would be realistic. Extreme turbulence is when you have NO control over the aircraft. The FAA defines moderate turbulence as "temporary loss of control". I've been in some turb that would smack your head around and knock off your headset. Still thanks for posting

  • That is not turbulent air at all! and you call that a crosswind too? No wonder you have such weak music on the video you woman!

  • Yeah, my "extreme trubulance" adventures have been more like Headset knocked off because hitting ceiling and heading being thrown off 15-20 degrees, forget about holding alt. Nice flying though.

  • Nice flying, but hardly extreme turb. mod/sev turb in a PA28 will have you floating against your belts, smacking your head on the roof and throwing you hard down into the seat. This looks more like some moderate chop at worst.

  • this is light turbulence (pretty normal in this size of aircraft, and will easy scare people who aren"t used to flying "em) i know its not comfortable to fly in it but you"ll get used to it . nice job piloting this plane what so ever
