"Beat the Rush"

This is a video guide on how to achieve the "BEAT THE RUSH" achievement in Left 4 Dead 2. The achievement requires the player to survive for four minutes in a survival round using ONLY melee weapons and equipment (pipe bombs, boomer biles, etc.)

This achievement is easier with human players, but I did it with AI teammates to demonstrate the basic survival tips.

This achievement is a little tricky, and took me a while to get. In the video, I demonstrate both what and what not to do while attempting this achievement. I show basic maneuvers and point out weapon stashes and paths on the Survival level Mall Atrium. Important notes are shown at the beginning of the video!

If you are down will the shot from a pistol cut off your acheviment. Does this also count for Confedery of Crunches

Yes, if you shoot when you are downed, it WILL cancel out the achievement! . . and the same rules apply for Confederacy of Crunches

You can shove, use molotovs, pipe bombs, boomer vials, pills, shots, med kits and deploy special ammo. You can do this on a level you already have a medal on, just make it to 4 minutes. If your playing on PC and it isn't working, go to the properties of l4d2 in steam and choose "Verify Cache", I believe if it finds a file to replace, that is why it didn't work, try this first if you swear you earned it and it doesn't show up.

@LibsTube Funny, I got both of those Acheivements doing the entire first Campaign during a Mutation Mode where your the only Survivor, and I just used Melee only. :D

@LibsTube Hey dude when I played for 5 parts using melee only on the LAST part when i was down i shot not knowing it would cancel confederacy of crunches -.-
