Heinz bar was the 8th highest Luftwaffe ace of WWII. He flew Messerschmidt 109's, Focke Wulf 190's and the Me262 jet (scoring 16 victories in this plane alone). He fought in Western and Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean theater.

  • great Emil :) love it

  • Well, suppose its ok, no weathering or wash (unlike yourself). I have largely stopped plastic models and moved on the wooden ones that (hopefully) fly ;) Making a fokker g1 right now.

  • Really nice job! (as with all your "aces-planes"). But you should know that his name was Bär - if necessary, write Baer, but pls not Bar!

  • Was 'Bar' the same as English 'Bear' (the animal)?

  • Bär = bear

bar = is used when measuring the athmospheric pressure, for example the pressure in my tyres may be 3 bar.

  • Grrr!

  • @MilitaryAircraft101 Yeah it's a huge difference in scores alright. Allied pilots were generally removed from frontline service for a period (especially RAF) once they became aces, so they could teach the younger pilots. Germans stayed in their planes until they were shot down, and they had practiced on many inexperienced opponents (and in the Spanish Civil War) before they had to fight RAF, USAAF, VVS etc, so they had massive kill counts. Finland is one to examine too, very high scores!

  • it's scary how the axis had hundreds of pilots that out killed the allies, i mean, number 8 on the allies ace list had like 40 kills, the highest by Ivan Kozhedub was like 60, a good 290 less than the top axis pilot!

  • This aircraft is inaccurate. It is nothing more than a PC rendered model. It has no swastica on the tail. No revisionist crap. Model it the way it was supposed to be. Accurate regardless of who it offends. It's History!! Deal with it you candy asses.

  • @Jaliya48 It's made by ICM.

  • What's the brand of this aircraft? Looks good.

I've got the diecast one of this (in 1/72)

  • Thanks :)

  • nice work!
