What is the procedure to take out the timing chain? you said to take out the cam gear, only one? what about he chain tensioner? what about the lower chain that connects to the head on that sprocket you dont have shown? please let me know.

The 200SX pictured belongs to Michael Young. Not Mike Kojima. He was the first to dyno a GA16DE above 200whp.

I tried checking the ECU on mode 3 but my green light dont light up for the codes, the car dont stutter or nothing just wants to idle really fast, you think it might be the map sensor? where do i get one of them little lights for the ECU in the code window? the oxygen sensor has been tested to spec too, oh, and the TPS that was on it before had a sweet spot where it totally dropped from the Voltage on the right prong from 6.3 to zero but this was at 3/4 throttle which i never drive that hard...
can you change the timing chain in the car

You can. Just make sure you remove the oil pan as the oil pick-up is attached to the timing cover, and if you do not remove the pan, you can crack the aluminium cover.

hi, I am about to change my head gasket and I was wondering if you can tell me the size of the head bolt. Isn't it a allen wrench or somethin?
sankoboy 1 year ago
GA16DE head bolts are 10mm allen-heads.

quick question, my GA16DE was running fine then it kept wanting to idle at 5,000rpm, ive checked the IAAC and the TPS (throttle position sensor) and bough new ones and testing them to spec n still the same, it had a perfect idle before all this then i drove it one day and it kept getting worse and worse throughout the day, this was before i replaced them, and still the same, it will go 80mph on flat ground on Idle...bad for brakes... can you tell me what the problem is?

I would check your throttle cable itself. Make sure it isn't binding, or that there are breaks in it. I'd also check your throttle body itself, and your accelerator pedal. If you can, pull the codes from your ECU and see if it comes up with anything.
