Ah dude, that is like one of the WORST places to go to Japanese. The further you go from Tokyo the more different the dialect becomes. I stayed in Akita for 6 months and the dialect was totally different... and it was only like.. 4-5 hours away by Shinkansen :|. Good luck.

Yeah...I was pretty discouraged when I first found out where I'll be studying. All the schools I chose were near Tokyo, but of all the place...Oita. lol. Well I'm still looking forward to seeing what I can experience there, and I'm sure it'll be a good opprotunity to improve my Japanese.
