This is the beginning of another rare album series. This time it's live! This show was recorded on March 3, 1982 at the Lonestar Cafe in New York, NY.
This live set was released to radio stations on a promotional 12" disc along with a Merle Haggard show on the flip-side. about half of the set is covers and the other is early Strait tunes. Here he cover's the possum's classic "Why Baby Why". N'Joy
Wow, Strait sounds great, covering this George Jones song. Never seen or heard this before and have been a fan since well, forever. Thanks for sharing and hope to hear more .

I've got recordings from live shows, late 70s and early 80s, this is one of them -- was glad to hear it again, thanks!
