Situated in an idyllic location, the Dovecote is at the heart of the unique village of Laxton, famed by its historic medieval strip farming system, and close to Sherwood Forest, traditional home of Robin Hood. Travel from Laxton to the picturesque market towns of Newark on Trent and its famous antique fairs, Retford or Southwell famed by its magnificent Minster. Within easy commuter distance too the larger cities of Nottingham or Lincoln. Or stay closer to home and take a visit to Beth Shalom the National Holocaust Centre, situated on the outskirts of the village.
