This video begins with Rev Dana referencing a reading Rev Scott had shared, I Am Your Constant Companion. Creating conscious habits ~ what we DO want in our lives. Our habits are the choices we make every moment of every day. Some of our habits no longer serve us well. We like to think that we have choice and can consciously choose. The nature of habit is unconscious doing. Habit defined: routine, pattern, preference. We each have health habits, organization habits, or the habit of practicing a musical instrument. To further your meditation practice you develop the habit of meditating. It is ours to create habits of compassion, understanding, and, especially, of opening more to ourselves as Spirit, here, being human. Ernest Holmes said, We are not here to intellectualize Spirit. We are here to Spiritualize the intellect. Holmes also said, We must become artists in living. Excellent idea. There are habits we do on the outside, and there are habits that we, as increasingly awake & aware humans, are called upon to develop on the inside. Our inner habits define the ways that we relate to ourselves, and to other people. We can develop the habit of Practicing the Presence. It is ours to develop the habit of letting the spiritual depths of our being flow thru our conversation and into our acts. Its just like exercising muscles. Exercise your Gratitude muscle ~ Be Grateful! ~ your entire Life and consciousness will be transformed.
Oh, Dana, it looks HEAVENLY where you are! We miss you and Scott here in LA!
