Good Work! I've built a couple of Currachs here in Vancouver (one Aran, one Kerry) and I'm 'feeling the itch' to build another.
At first I couldn't find any books or other local help, so I wrote a letter, made 10 copies, addressed each to "Any currach builder/The Pub nearest the ocean/(name of town) Co. Kerry, Eire" - I recieved a dozen replies within a couple of weeks, and the correspondence of Paidi d' Hora and others got me started. I've got my children as apprentices for the next one....
