Rond half vijf komt de eerste melding binnen van een middelbrand, het zou gaan om een bedrijfspand.
De alarmeringen volgen elkaar snel op. Een uur later worden ook de VC2 en de COH van Wormer gealarmeerd.
Bij aankomst blijkt het te gaan om een pand van de firma T.C. Boelhouwer, dit is een bedrijf in schilderwerken.
De schrik bij de eigenaren zit er goed in, deze zijn net terug van vakantie.
Bij de brand zijn geen gewonden gevallen, wel werd het publiek op grote afstand gehouden i.v.m. vrijgekomen asbest.
De blussing van het pand is tijdelijk stilgelegd omdat er een kast met hoge spanning problemen veroorzaakte in het pand voor het blussend personeel, dit werd dan ook verholpen door de nutsbedrijven.
Hierna werden de bluswerkzaamheden hervat. De brandweer is tot in de late uurtjes bezig geweest.--------------------------------­----------------------------------------­----------------------
