Once the rains have finally ended here, I finally started on the new porch I've been planning on building. I've had the lumber for a couple weeks but it's been too wet to do anything until now. Well, it's almost too wet still.

@MrManushe; Those are joist hangers. I don't have their part number on hand, but I got them at Home Depot for $.97 each.

What are those things that hold the joists in place? Looks like you just slide the joists into the frame.
