Floater playing live at San Francisco's Maritime Hall back in September of '97.

In this clip they are playing Persecutor (from their second album; Glyph) *I Did Not Film This*

I have been a huge Floater fan since way back in '94. I've been to over 50 of their shows and will gladly see them a thousand times more if I can.

This footage was found at http://www.floatermusic.net -Check them out for more vintage Floater goodness.

Also, visit http://www.floatermusic.com -The Official Floater website. If you don't have their newest album (Stone By Stone), you can get it here.

  • I just met Rob a few days ago and had the pleasure of hanging out a bit after a solo show he did. Best moment of my life since the birth of my child! lol

  • @utopiachild71

Yeah, I know what you mean. He played a solo show in Chico on March 23rd and it was amazing. He is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Congrats on the birth of your child, by the way!

  • Floater...

Got me through my first tour in Iraq...and my second

  • Hang in there. Floater gets a lot of us through tough times. If you aren't home yet, I hope you make it back soon!

"All of us go down slow,

    and then we rise again.

Just like a tide out at sea,

we lower and rise again" ~Endless

  • haha look at the 5 people in the crowd with their hands in their pockets. I'm sure they're just overwhelmed by the vortex of sound is all

  • Yes, that's probably it. Or they just had their minds liquified by the sheer awesomeness of it all. Floater is God!

  • I'm actually sort of glad they've stayed relatively underground. It makes it more special when it's 'your' awesome band that nobody else knows about.

  • @laylashawmoore A friend always told me it was called "Butte Tech". A community college next to Chico. Party and sin and party-sin cups and hats and such.... A real raucous place.

  • @fawnknudsen if youre talking about butte college then yes lol

  • @laylashawmoore That's by Butte Tech, right?

  • FLOATER has the power to trance..

  • @JermLeather I was surprised one of my friends said he was unfriendly but they couldn't be more wrong! He was sweet and softspoken (May have been trying to save his voice :)

  • God I Miss you Guys Soooo Much,

    Francine

  • Saw every show they played in Eugene after Sink came out. The best ones were at the 400 sq foot Max's tavern and John Henry's. Needless to say the crowd was never that docile.
