@derekmcmillan1951 It is coercive to all the people. What happens is the public votes for somebody to hold absolutist power, and once that person is in place, it's nearly impossible to get them out. In many cases if fraud is insufficient to keep the politician in office, they create emergencies and crisis, then say "we can't hold an election while this emergency is going on!" ... so democracy stops, and a dictatorship ensues.
Small government that's restrained by law is the only way to go.

It just hit home that with the military industrial complex being what it is, America is a de facto military empire. Given the extreme cost of occupying armies, not to mention that of war itself, it's no wonder our economy is down 20%.
Military empires never last. Look at Rome, England, Egypt, Greece and Nazi Germany, just to name a few.
America is doomed. Doooooooomed I say!

It's spelt "coercive". I support Democratic Socialism.
I am not quite sure what a corrersive state is but it does not sound nice. Socialism means rule by the majority in the interests of the majority. It would only be "corrersive" with the rich - you know lock up some crooked bankers, probably a popular move right now!
