Amazing to think that Andrew was only like 16 when they filmed the movie.

actually it was the 90's not 80's and most probably 1991, the year the film was made/released. Saw the Commitments (inc 4 original band members I think) in my hometown and had the privelage of spending the rest of the evening with them after the show in a local pub. Groupee or what! A big disapointment when arriving at the show was Andrew wasn't there, however, the performance was excellent - brilliant night during and after. In my top ten favourite films, easy.

fantastic voice and singer and great film. Unfortunatly he never really had a chance to make it big coz he didn't have the looks for 12 yo girls to have a crush on, he didn't sing like a faggot, and he was never in some pathetic reality tv talent show!! oh and he sang real music:)
