@speedking Oh I don't know, everyone still had tapes in the 90's, you had to use them to make your own mixes and CD players weren't in most people's cars yet

Exellent footage,thanks for sharing,anyone know what day the release fell on?
Please forgive me, but what is up with those long boxes that is in the beginning of the video. What were they (cassette, something else) because they look very cool. And yes, I'm from the downloading music generation, no pun intended, but I love to know the answer.

@silvercream69
When CD's first came out, most of them came in those long boxes. The reason being is that most record stores had their display racks set up for cassettes. Cassette tapes were big sellers throughout the 80's and early 90's. You can see on the tape that they were still stocking a lot of tapes. Anyway, the CD long boxes fit in the display racks perfectly. Cassettes were typically put into an anti-theft plastic long box before being put out on the floor display racks.

@silvercream69 Additionally, this was 1991...and cassettes were on the way out. Kind of like today (2010), CD's are pretty much a relic because, as you pointed out, downloading (mp3's) has become the medium of choice.
