Very clearly explained. Now I know how to make this whole process of scaling my stills much more automated. Many thanks.

Don't start tutorials by babbling about why you made it. Nobody cares. Just get to the point as fast as possible. Just show how it's done. Nothing else.

I need your help. Sorry for sounding very basic but when I preview a picture I'm about to put into my timeline it looks great and clear. When I drop it in my timeline it looks very pixelated and poor quality. I did the scale to fame size and everything. Any Ideas?

@KeithAHernandez Most likely the problem that you have may be a couple of things...you may have set the timeline properties so that the picture may show up poorly, but most likely the cause is that the picture is a low quality JPG that when used in any form up close or for a more high resolution you are seeing pixillation.

Hi there,
I have only just got trial version today, and have only done a little editing of video before in videopad. I want to mix video and stills together in a sequence....but when i put stills into the timeline it crops them,
which wouldn't be to bad if i could move the image within the frame as it is cutting heads off?
Is there a way i can move them within the frame or my video's are much wider? or crop video to same ratio?
Sorry i'm not very technically minded :-)
Great tutorial!

@donnarichens Yes, you can right click on the still image in the timeline and choose "Scale to frame size" and that should adjust it in the timeline. You can also go into preferences, under the General tab and enable the Scale to Frame Size fir all of your projects so you won't have to right click on each still image...because usually there are a lot of still images and right clicking on each would take quite a long time.

this was so helpful THANKS!!! also, is there any way you can scale all the still images at the same time (I am making a stop animation video...so this would be very useful!)

@selkiestar Not all of them at once...but you can adjust all the settings on one of them and save a preset and apply that preset to the other images...I think you can highlight all of the images at once and drag the preset...I think it will apply to all, but not sure...but you can definately use that preset for each other image individually...good luck.
