Just though I'd post this to help anyone who's considering to buy a 5920G, and wanted to see how it performed on newer games.

The specs are:
Intel Core2Duo T7300 (2.0GHZ, 800MHz FSB, 4 MB L2 Cache)
8600M GT 256mb (OC'd)
2GB RAM

The game was running at 60FPS, but FRAPS slaughtered my FPS and caused freeze ups. So ya, the game runs smooth and not choppy like you see in the vid.

Settings:
1280x720
AAx2
Shadows on
depth of field on
Textures - Extra
Normal map resolution - High
Specular map resolutin - High
Number of corpses - High
Dynamic lights - Normal
Ragdoll on
Bullet impacts on
Water detail - normal
Model detail - normal

  • i doubt those settings are on high. first of all there is no reflection on the scope. second there is no shadow. sorry dude, u cant fool me

  • My CoD4 settings on my laptop were exactly those I posted in the vid info. If you watch my other vid you'll see shadows. You're right about the scope thing though, dunno if that has anything to do with dynamic lights being on normal?

  • Sorry I accidentally managed to delete your post Jimmyboy222, but by OC'd I mean Over Clocked

  • ACER AS5920G-5A3G32Mi, the Card is not 8600M GT 256mb (OC'd) it is ''8600M-GS 256''

    But Nice vid:)) 5/5

  • What do you mean?

The GPU is an 8600m GT 256mb which I have OC'd.

There are many variations of the 5920G though..

  • look the aspire 5520 have nvidia 8400 is there a great great diffrence in playing that game with 8400 instead of 8600?

  • There is a pretty big difference as far as i know, but i'm no expert. Ask on pc gaming forum ;)

  • what video settings were you using

  • what song did u use in the video before it got deleted?

  • Where can i find the demo? please PM me!

  • You will be able to run at medium/high.

My desktop PC is as Follows, and I can run with al effects turned off, no AA, and but totally maximum textures at 1280x1024 at about 40fps.

    Pentium 4 2.8Ghz (OC'd 3.4Ghz) 533mhz FSB

    8600gt 256mb (A GS is slower than a GT)

    2gb of ddr400

Windows XP Pro (Not Even Up To Date)

Your system should be able to perform on PAR with, or better than my setup. Try out the demo, and lemme know what you find =D.

  • I'm really confused, Some says i can run this at max, and someone says i can run this at low-medium, Hers my specs:

OS = Windows Vista Home Premium

Video Card = NVIDIA GeForce 8600m gs 256mb

    Processor(CPU) = Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo 1,8ghz

    RAM = 3 Gb

Im abel to play Crysis at all very high exept for the Shaders And shdows :-(

Please, I need the info, Before Christmas!

  • what song is it?

  • VISTA OR xp?

  • GeForce is almost 2x better (512mb)

    this readon is only 256mb

  • itll run no probs mate

  • Nivce vid by the wayXD
