what changed drum and bass forever is the creature which harbored it; technology.
the entire commercial industry decided that digital software was the new way to go.
we now know that digital music is limiting yet very expansive...
and 12 years down the road artists are kicking themselves in the ass for selling a good majority of hardware that they could now integrate with their software to make the killer tunes that we once had back in 98-06.
but to say DNB has died...
rubbish.

"The Creeps" came out 11 years ago and shit has not changed since. I'm a jungle kid so I already see DnB as incredibly limited and disappointing in comparison, but you would think there would have been a healthy progression (tempo is NOT progression), but nothing substantial yet.
