TomTom Go 520 vs Garmin Nuvi 200 Demo

A quick look at the new TomTom Go 520 and the Garmin Nuvi 200.
The TomTom 520 has Bluetooth hands-free, FM Modulator, Text to Speech, voice recognition, and much more.
The Nuvi 200 is a much more basic Sat Nav, but for a to b navigating, what's the difference?

I preffer the Garmin colours, but I think the voices on TomTom are much clear than Garmin!! I just bought a Garmin nüvi 1390T and it stop working. I'm waiting for almost one month to get it back. I'm really not surprised with it, and wish I had bought the TomTom. =/

if you look on ebay you see a lot more garmins for sale as parts or not working. is it because they fail sooner or is it because there is so many more sold

@toyota420xp Maybe it just that I didn't took the time to learn to use it. But when I got the Garmin every thing was just more easier to use. and faster

@gtdodgeviper i dont know why you say tom toms are hard to use. i know my grandma uses one so does a lot of people i know. they are the worlds best selling gps brand for a reason

going on an 800 mile trip (one way) and had a garmin. was going to take the tomtom but didnt. less then half way there the garmin froze and would not work. had to find my way back using my Iphone. tomtom is close to 6 years old and still works like a charm.

this is not to say garmin isnt a good company but my experience tells me that tomtom is a good name. I will stick with it from now on. just my experience.

I like garmin better it laggs less and its rerouting system is better also it picks better directions, at least tom tom is better than navman lol

@hopala007 TomTom's are about 50 dollars [pocket change] higher than Garmin's lol and they do the same exact thing but has different screens. Rich or poor has nothing to do with getting to your destination.

last year on blackfriday I bought a tom tom from walmart for 80. but it was too difficult to use so I return it and then I bought a garmin from bestbuy for 100 and it is alot easier to use and its very good.

garmin - good

tom tom - difficult to use.
