@Carambasjokk There is a metal cover on the bottom of the dash that envelops that part of the steering column -- take out both screws and you can reach up inside the dash to pop the gear selector needle with your finger. It may also need a slight adjustment if it's hitting the inside of the PRNDL window.

The person who decides to take off the original exhaust and replaces it with some after market thing to make it loud has no heart. These cars are beautiful luxury cars that are supposed to be quiet and classy. Beautiful car. I have a 1971 Cadillac Eldorado convertible with a 500 cubic engine and enjoy it.
