@ blackberryjuice1 - economic progress my ass. Everything isn't always about $, some people actually have time and memories invested in a lot of NY, maybe your not from NY so u might not get it. Certain things should be preserved, we lost times square, Lower East Side, Harlem, even parts of brooklyn have all these luxury apts now, their even changing the names of neighborhoods.

Where are they gonna build luxury condos in coney island? C.I is one of the most dangerous parts of brooklyn,walk down 22nd street the 20s and 30s on surf, neptune and mermaind aves. Blocks of dirty ass housing projects, empty lots, drugs etc.. ask anybody who lives out there. Theres 2 parts of Coney, thats the part they don't show you. In order for them to turn coney into disneyland (because thats their plan) they gotta move the poor people out, NY IS FOR THE RICH NOW, ask the people in harlem.

I always wanted to visit Coney Island (not for the rides so much) but the atmosphere. It was like the last of Old New York.
I would really love to see Thor Equtities do the place up like the old Luna and Steeplechase Parks with similar types of rides (some of them looked like they were a helluva lot of fun)but you know, updated versions. It would be sweet....if only I had my way.....
