it is absolutely worth remarking that the "simple melody " from 2:01 to 2:11 has a chord progression like that : D9 - G- D9- E- D9 - G - Eb - F- E - G - B - !!!
while the bass counterpoint (starting from third D9-chord) is walking down chromatically from C via B - A# - A - G# - G - F# - masterpiece.
I bought this recording when it was on a cassette. I've been playing guitar for awhile and I know of other guitar players and musicians in general. However, to be a composer, let alone a composer like Jan Hammer, who can take an involved progression or even a basic rock type "riff" and turn into something totally unique and cool, like Blue Wind, is something that amazes me because you rarely if ever see it. In fact, it has become even more rare in this day and age. Jan Hammer is one of a kind.
I have been searching for a couple of cuts from this album for a LONG time. Could you upload 'Jetstream' and 'Between The Sheets of Music'? Would be much appreciated.

Always loved this album for the title and cover art. I was a right black sheep when I was digging this album in the early 80s.

I had the Blacksheep album in 1982. I bought it while I was stationed in Germany.
