2001 6-spd WS6 w/ ASA cam and bolt ons, open cut outs vs. 04 Cobra with cat back and intake.

To answer all the comments about this not being a 2004 cobra:
http://www.svtperformance.com/12sec_list.html check the list. Stock and close to stock Cobras running mid to high 12's. My car ran a 12.55 on street tires the video is uploaded for that as well. This is a cobra I'm racing. I've driven them I know they're fast. I don't doubt that a different driver or a pulley would have changed the outcome. Hell if I'd lost I still would've posted the video. You can't hear the blower because with the WS6 having the cutouts open it's open header and you can't hear anything at WOT, so enough of the I can't hear the blower it's not a cobra. He lost... no big deal... I've lost to other cobras before and you don't see me whining about it.

  • cobras are amazing car ....but the ls1 with cam and longtubes will destroy any cobra, which i feel having a cam will make it fair comsidering the cobra needs a supercharger in order to makes its pussy 4.6 dohc any good........love ford but chevy ls1 the greatest small block ever !!!!!!

  • its a H/C ls1, why does anyone have a hard time believing this. Even pullied cobras have a hand full.

  • @warlockadin That 5.8 liter 351 is gonna kill 376's 427's and 434's ... I don't think so

  • gt, mach1? maybe cobra nahh

  • @ReDEVILGT Actually the 2002 Cobra did exist. Sold only in Aussy Land but still...if you dont mind driving on the right...........

  • @Andy01Z28 put the LS motors vs what its supposed to be racing...the 5.4 L. or, you could wait till summer for the real test of LS motors, the 5.8 LS Killer will debut then ;)

  • the 7 guys who dislike this video probably drives a civic

  • @IDontHateOnCars I guess if you look at it that way. I still think it just evens things out a bit.

  • @SBrandon562 Well lets do the math. 5.7l 346cuin 1 cam 16 valve, - 280cuin 4 cam 32 valve 4.6l + 1.7 liter eaton = 6.3 liter 4 cam 32valve so that's 600 more cc's with 3 more cams turning, and 16 more valves breathing air. An engine considered '' Much more sophisticated. ''

  • Its really hard to compare 2 different motors with 2 very different setups, and say one of them is pile of crap and praise another, especially If one doesn't even know about its design, its a matter of preference.

This guys WS6 was obliviously racing a 03/04 cobra, probably close to stock but still, and with his cammed LS1 with cutouts, that's damn near close to wide open headers, so your not going to hear that cobra's stock eaton, not going to happen. but I love both of this cars regardless.

  • @Andy01Z28 I think adding the supercharger is making it even considering the ls1 is a 350 and the 4.6 is a 281.

  • pulley would make a difference trust me on that lol
