ALFRED HITCHCOCK SAID: "I think my mother scared me when I was 3 months old. You see, she said BOO. It gave me the hiccups. And she apparently was very satisfied."

A genuinely Hitchcockian thing to say for someone so adverse to his particular directorial bent.
I would offer that there is a segment of human being who has been poorly educated to the extent that they take what they see projected on screens entirely too literally and are thus incapable of separation of fantasy from reality. It is not Hitchcock who was dangerous, it is THEY who are.

nah. he would never kill. he might get caught. then hed be grilled by the cops. he'd shit. plus he was rich. why bother killing anyone? he was putrid however. i think his genius over rode his putridity however. he was repellant yet charming. and absolutely brilliant with 16 trillion hollywood stories. a fascinating fella. no doubt.

Most men, if not all, have a bit of pervert in them. Is that news?

yes i also get a mild apprehension when i see police.. its slightly heightened when they see me.. i suppose id be a little more pleased to see them if i was being held by a crazed maniac in a dungeon, but what are the chances of that, all the more being saved by the cops from it.. much more likely to encounter them in their more mundane chores of harrassing, provoking, threatening, and collecting revenue for a corrupt local government
