A very interesting lineup: both Uli and Jörn would later go on to play with Helloween, Kai's original band... The service would be 1991-2003 for Jörn and 1994-2001 for Uli. Apart from Kai, only Dirk still plays in Gamma Ray, permanently switching to bass once Henjo Richter took the place of a lead guitar player (check out his bass solo from this concert here: http://youtu.be/9BCXaDGFL5k?t=2m29s). Uwe kind of disappeared from the big picture... It was the first Gamma Ray concert professionally shot & released (originally in 1991), when they only had a single album of material, "Heading for Tomorrow" — from which they played all tracks, along with several Helloween songs and the "Heaven Can Wait" EP B-Side, "Who Do You Think You Are?", which can be heard here: http://youtu.be/XveoBCqOkwY This video release was followed by the "Lust for Live" (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL57F510C3F89D1FC3) in 1993, after which they took a big hiatus in producing video material, with only a few music videos (and no DVDs or concerts) released over the span of more than ten years, five studio albums and two live CDs. Only in 2008, the band finally released official live DVD with their first long stable lineup: "Hell Yeah!!! The Awesome Foursome", subtitled "And the Finnish keyboarder who didn't want to wear his Donald Duck costume: Live in Montreal". You know why many metal bands have their fucking best perfomances in Japan?

Cause they care about fucking music there for fuck sake.

Back then Gamma Ray were almost nobody (with all due respect, they are MY fav band forever for many reasons). But they gave them a kickass stage, with kickass sounds.

Here in Europe people dont care anymore, we have to fucking sweat like porks in small clubs (VERY OFTEN, expecially if you listen Gamma Ray) with shit sounds or wait for Waken and alikes.

Fuck srsly.
