It's easy to be confused by words. Even word "Awareness" itself. It's my experience. Too much effort isn't key. But how can you find balance between "Awareness itself" and "Wish to be Aware"?

Yes I have heard numerous interpretations that Jesus knew precisely what the consequences would be for his actions with the money changers in the temple and that everything he did was calmly premeditated to bring about his arrest and crucificion.

It is the best book I own, too. True. No kidding. One thing one may add:
Awareness starts with self.
Add self to awareness. But, also remember to "drop" it. Lest you stay unhappy. See that self is the first illusion.

Indeed! I've heard that when Jesus (and I'm not a Christian, so I might be wrong here) went into the temple to condemn the money changers, he purposefully went there on a day that he KNEW it would cause the most political trouble! He knew that it would land him in jail! And in the gospel of Judas, Judas himself said that Jesus asked Judas to "turn him in" to the authorities! So, not only did Jesus NOT feel any anger, but he planned out these things very thoughtfully and lovingly to teach!!!
