The next mayor of Philadelphia must bring together diverse interests and an eclectic group of people in the city and surrounding suburbs in order to move our region into a secure and prosperous future.
Join the Counter Intelligence Unit as we travel the tri-state region, stopping in neighborhood lunch counters, diners, barbershops, corner stores and other special events to listen to your views on the issues and suggestions for the next mayor.
The Counter Intelligence crew talks to shoppers and merchants in Philadelphia's famous Italian Market. Located in South Philadelphia, the neighborhood surrounding the market has changed dramatically in the past several years due to an influx of Asian and Latino immigrants. Such changes result in both opportunities and challenges. However, long-time and brand new residents alike are facing many of the same issues and they share their concerns about the city with The Next Mayor project.
I see cities that are growing but i look at my hometown and hoping to see good things but all i see is people moving out of Philly. It can be beautiful again.. what they started in the late 70's , they need to continue. the water front was going great but someone let it slip through the cracks again
