Just got back home. LOVED it. People were soo friendly. Only thing that bugged me was the god damn indian tailors pesting me.
I really liked the small town feeling. I hope it doesnt grow too much, and becomes yet another tourist machine.

My family live out there, have visited many times and its such a fantastic place. Check out the Irish Rover,best pint of Guinness in all of Asia =)

I am thinking of going here for a week or so but wanted to know how is general cost of things (food/drinks) compared to Phuket? I heard quite a few say it's cheaper as it's a bit quieter.

Adam2987: The video was shot in December 2006 (and edited later) so it was after the tsunami. Yeah the raised buildings on stilts were at the Ao Nang beach, near the main street and all the restaurants, tailors etc. What is there now?
