Watching this segment, I am very, very confused as to why Phillips was left off. Does she seriously mess up later, or something? I'll be watching to find out.

In my opinion, Kristie should have been on that team.....she didn't look out of shape to me....what a shame. She was still a great athlete and she has nothing to hang her head about. She still should be proud of herself.

Thanks for posting these! I remember watching these trials and olympics ( from 1988 and all of them since then) as a kid when I was in gymnastics back in '88, and I loved it...it was a different time in the sport in retrospect, with the emphasis so much on being tiny and thin...I can't imagine how stressful it must have been for those little gals, but their talent was so impressive. Very nostalgic to watch all these years later!
