    its like running in normal shoes... Cyclocross does not have the say type of clip in as road...

    It's weird, cyclo-cross came before mountain biking, but mountain biking didn't take off until the 70's.

    Cyclocross bikes are meant to be offroad, they have different wheels and frames than standard road bikes.

    The MTBs aren't well suited for the tarmac parts. The Cyclocross bikes offer a good compromise between the racers speed and the MTBs off-roadability (new word?) :)
