David was sexy and Bobby was cute and cuddly, but for me Robert Bolt's Jason was the guy. Handsome, ruggedly masculine, and something of a poet in his manner of expression. There were moments in the series when he reminded me of some of the great male film stars of the classic, studio era. He had that kind of presence.
