not bad at all.
i've been watching old drummers like gene, buddy, cole, Blakey, etc. then I watch new stuff like this and it's not nearly as magical for some reason. I think we (modern drummers) lost something they had back then. I'm not sure what it was.... but it was something good.

Innovation would be my first guess. Alot of the greats from older eras were pioneers at what they did, and that style was state of the art for that time to many. I dont remember seeing alot of straight groove in their solos, mostly jazz shred. Its hard to say what went wrong and where, but elements of the past have definately phased out in some respects. I think any crazy drumming you see from the old greats was the first time it was unveiled, making those drummers seem unique because of it.
