Your totally spot on with this review, and I've got to say it IS my favorite movie of all time. I loved it so much, that I saw when it first came out, and when it came out again, I nearly weeped with joy...and went to go and see it in Imax....twice........Sad huh?

Heath Ledger gave a better performance, but he wasn't a better Joker. Ledger was incredible as the Joker and gave a better performance than Jack Nicholson, but Jack Nicholson portrayed the Joker better. Ledger explained everything he was doing, but Nicholson just did it. He didn't stop to explain, he just wanted to cause chaos, just like the comic books.
So, as a performance, Ledger is superior.
As a portrayal of the Joker, Nicholson is superior.

Yea man, dark knight is a kick ass movie. I want to go watch it again just to try to take it all in, cause it was so intense the first time. Do you know if there will be more sequels to this??
