RCMP in NB acquired this Retro looking police car over the summer I believe. It is a fully functional patrol car with lights, sirens, EyeWitness dash cam, Prisoner cage ect. I believe its primarily used for parades and special events, however, it has been used for duty work.

  • where was that vid taken

  • @flamezilla484 This was at the Dieppe Fire Station. I do not know why it was there.

  • I think if you look back at the media reports, its not a codiac car. This car has been used all over the province. I think they have to book it. I know it was in District 11 for about a week this past summer. Then after that it was on the Acadian peninsula.

  • Thanks for the info. It would explain why I haven't seen it for a little while.

  • i wish there would be some of these retro crown vics here but we do have an unmarked charger

  • @LeighRay I think if a car has a livery that was replaced in 1973 with blue & white, and again in 1993 with white & stripes, I'd call that retro.

  • There's nothing old-school at all about this cruiser. As for the single beacon on the roof, it's a Unity RV-45. The Michigan State Police have used this exact beacon since 1979, only theirs have larger sealed-beams. MSP is just now upgrading to LEDs. HOWEVER, they are using this exact beacon body and dome with a huge four-sided LED module instead of the rotating halogens.

  • gotta love those old grand vic's

  • @spenceeee i think it is a duty car because ive seen a few of these on the QE2

  • We have the same car here in MB it gets a lot of attention !!

  • a ha they have the same idea in edmonton, tho it is an active duty car, same large light tho

  • I'm pretty sure that Codiac Dispatch is upstairs at the Fire Station.
