The pride of Britain. The envy of America!!

I agree with you waterloo3, it has to be very hard for these guys. Every night a show. With only a day or so off... They are doing a fantastic job and in Texas they had a great spirit about them! They will be done in just a few days to go home! :{

The crowd may have been small, but they were certainly enthusiastic. I'd have given my right hand to see this group in person. They certainly are good.....I've got a CD by them. Wonderful!

isn't this venue the Frank Erwin Center?

@Yhoothoob I was under the impression most of the British bands had stopped coming to the USA mostly because of a lack of audience. I saw the Coldstream Guards and the Queens Own Highlanders YEARS ago when they came to Baltimore in the early 90s and the place was packed. Now, not so much. Too many Americans listening to Justin Beiber and Katy Perry I guess :/

Very stirring! The Coldstream Guards wear a red plume in their bearskin hat, and the Royal Scots Dragoons (alias the Scots Greys historically) wear a white plume. Thanks for posting.

I remember that night in San Antonio and it was an amazing reception. We left Kansas hours late because of a snow storm, missed our connecting flight at Houston and had to hire a coach to San Antonio. We made it by the skin of our teeth! What a reception we got though! Not to mention a cracking day off afterwards.

The SCOTS DG are based in Germany, does that make them German?
All the Guards Div cycle through London for public duties at Buck Palace and the like. They will usually stay for years.

First learn first to FOCUS your camera then to keep you finger OFF the zoom.
Poor effort, must try harder.

It's from a digital camera, it's as far as HD as you can get, give me a break. And the zoom button never zoomed the amount I want so there are lots of back and forth. This video was meant to document and promote the show, not to substitute the experience.

It's a big stadium, the show was not well advertised, and Pipes and Drums is not part of the pop culture here in USA. I stumbled across the fact that they are coming close to where I live until about 3 weeks before the concert date.

The band begins the finale with the regimental march of the Coldstream Guards "Milanollo" attributed to the popularity of two Italian sisters who UK in the 1840s and their tune caught on with Colonel of the regiment. Both bands then combine for the traditional march-off of "Scotland the Brave" and "Black Bear". Great videos, please post more!

Unfortunately, that's all I got. All the videos were made with my camera. It's not a camcorder that's about all the videos I can shoot. I just didn't want to tape the entire concert neither. The entire show is only $50 and they are touring practically EVERYWHERE in USA.
