Whatever your thoughts about this, there is no denying that what Kelly achieved was exceptional and truly inspiring. She made the people from Britain extremely proud, a true example of commitment and perseverance.

There is a lot of Hypocrisy about UK altheles, when russians and other countries come out of nowhere to win medals, the UK are quick to point fingers about drugs, I remember when radcliffe (another runner who for years was outside the elite) couldnt win a medal, they were pointing fingers at the althletes beating her.
But when british athletes come out of NOWHERE and win medals....its a completely different story cos British altheletes never dope right?

For the who actually watched track and field, kelly Holmes was NEVER an elite runner.....NEVER, for years and years she was just outside the elite, then OF A SUDDEN she's beating Mutola (suspected doper and her training partner) over 800m, this is why people call her lucky, because they have actually watched track and field and they KNOW that Kelly Holmes was NEVER an elite althete EVER.

@davidmayne yeah she won because they pulled out, and that was pure luck, my opinion is right, get your "facts" in order, if they didnt pull out she wouldnt have won shit, so yeah it was a fluke, a fluke that she wont ONLY because they pulled out.

It's not as if Kelly was dominating her events like Jones did, if you're saying Kelly was on drugs then surely Mutola was too as she was more muscular than Kelly ever was?
