can anyone tel me an exact way to produce the PWM pulses?? i found dfficulty by using acomparator

You have to change a squarred wave signal .
And keep the fixed frequency , and in the same time to change the rapport of the two periods On/Off
The sum of the two periods will stay the same for to have a fixed period.
For make a PWM with analogical chips, you need first an sawtooth signal.
second a comparator for to choose the fall front.

You need 2 x NE555 for to make this effect !
And 3 components more for one ne555 , and a RC for to make a slope that do a progressive ligthning with modulation on pin 5-control voltage).
It possible you need trimmers too for adjust the right effect that you want.

No source code necessary just a battery supply (3 to 9 vdc) depending what style of 555 ic you are using, there are different ones for different voltages. Enjoy!

Ok , it less expansive and need no program.
But, there are more components and it is a definive application, the pic can be re- programmed.
It is just a simply funny example for the pic.
note:
The resistor can be shunted too, and so...
You ll have just, a 2 components PWM.
