wow really good !
-
first rider is real good and the pony is pretty cute too... second pony reminds me of my friends pony yhat looks exactly like her
-
...and Little Imp's rider has a good position, but she's a bit too big for him to be able to jump as well as he can.
-
I do have to say, the grey is the most impressive pony, but the first rider is the best, you notice at 1:38 she uses her seat and reins to get the striding for her pony so he can perform at his best. I wouldn't want to do it on such a fast pony, but these riders are great!
-
@TommyTheHorse Ponies, because of their shorter stride than say, a Thoroughbred, often look like they're going faster than they really are. And if anyone has small frail legs, it would be the rider...How would a prey animal that was built to run away survive with frail legs?? Seriously...
-
1:14 - perfect example that these little riders are in complete control and can quite compentdly and easily ride and control their ponies at this pace (notice how she uses her seat and reins to adjust the pony before the jump)! gutsy little riders that ride amazingly :) x

elle a de très bon poney heureusement car elle fait beaucou p de faute dabord
-
I think these kids are amazing you gallop a pony into a jump that size at that age and see how you go. They are taking a big risk and are performing amazingly. I also don't think its right to be jumping ponies over such large jumps. Yes, horses and ponies can jump but they aren't designed for jumping. No horse or pony should jump that high!
-
do you know how old they are!?
-
awesome job u guys r great and so r your ponies !!!!!!

i want to see these kids attempt an actual eq course. they are just just galloping their ponies. The ponies are the impressive ones not the kids, the ponies are choosing the distances and doing their job
also some of these kids look ridiculous on these ponies because they are clearly too big for them

This comment has received too many negative votes show
this is a wonderful example of why young kids shouldnt be allowed to do the jumpers i kno its cute and no one got hurt but thats entirely to fast, i do jumpers with my thoroughbred and its not about galloping through the course its about using balance and rhythm to find the best track horse and rider in total agreement this is just scary

Thanks for the comment Maria, but I think you're wrong.
Comparing riding your thoroughbred with these tiny ponies is silly. Nobody with any sense would gallop their horse around a jumper course. These small ponies have a totally different movement / gait and the riders in this video are in total control (in my opinion).
Watching somebody perform a standing back flip, barefoot, on a grass surface is way more scary than this.

im a sixteen year gymnast and dont often tumble on grass a back tuck is a very simple skill that has a soft landing and its dangerous to tumble with shoes on. these ponies may turn faster but they still have small frail legs, other than a the thoroughbred i also have a very small arabian who does the jumpers and i still dont let her gallop into a jump

Your implication about "small frail legs" is (presumably) that they're at great risk of injury.
Well, I've been watching these three ponies for almost two years now and I've yet to see them come to grief or get injured or even get lame. They are very tough and the girls riding in this video are experienced enough to know their capabilities.
As a commenter has noted - watch pony club games; those ponies are getting more stress put on their joints and legs compared to these guys.
