  • I bet it was!! I would have gone balistic, I can imagine the exspense the drivers would be they are very well made Danish I believe, The pair I have are the early ones made-So I am told that these new Sonus Fabers that are being produced arent being made by the Italians anymore, They are made in China!!

The CD you need is called 'Densen Demagic' Should be pretty easy to get hold of!!

    Please keep in touch!!

  • REALLY, blimey I bet the cat isnt too popular at the moment then!!! Absolutley I would highly recommend using a Burn in track and then using a Speaker shakedown which will encourage the suspension drivers to supple! Best of luck, any problems let me know.

  • Its a special track on a 'Demagnestizer' CD It basically helps keep the speaker supple.

  • can I put that cd in my laptop speakers?

  • dont to these kind of shit with your precious speakers, play music (big band/orchestral works) for 100 or more hours.

  • That's a nice Sonus Faber minimonitor with the Scan-Speak Revelator mid-bass and the Vifa dual-radiator tweeter.

  • And yes, dear rogorato - ANY great sounding, low distortion speaker requires well designed, low distortion drivers. Quality drivers are #1 prerequisite for any great sounding loudspeaker.

Of course, you don't just buy 2 SS drivers and put them together however you want, lol, use some brain.

Get on Madisound, Zaph Audio, online forums and see who designs what, how those designs work etc. Grow some brains and stop wasting money

  • Dearos idiotos.

X-over design is not rocket science. With some skills, some knowledge and some PC software you can design a very good x-over. There are hundreds of guys who design x-overs professionally with excellent results. You can design, then model and then test in a fairly short period of time. It's definitely not "years of research". Cabinet design from the sound perspective is the easiest part of loudspeaker design. Well, to make it look stylish is another story, but sound = sound

  • @johammbass No. Scanspeak makes some of the drivers. Sonus Faber designs the cabinets and the crossovers. There's more to a speaker than just drivers you know. Oh, and I don't appreciate (as a SF owner) being called an idiot.

    Have a nice day.

  • A speaker is not only the speakers is much piu'Non just put together 2 Scan Speak to make a speaker, wake jhoambass !!!!!!!

  • Un diffusore non si fa solo con gli altoparlanti, serve molto di piu'Non basta mettere insieme 2 Scan Speak per fare un diffusore, svegliati jhoambass!!!!!!!
