Ray Power born in New Waterford Nova Scotia. And spent much of his life in Ontario ,in the most part a one man band who love to sing and play his guitar .The only thing he loved more then singing was his family, his wife Ginger daughters Bertha,Stefanie and Beverly. Everybody came first with Ray, just to give you an idea what he was like, here a two stories told to me by a great friend of Ray also a musician George Howse.

Not long before Ray left us. We had a tribute raise money to help with Rays medical expenses, and we were warned (by Ginger his wife) not to call it a benefit, but just a tribute, or else he would have no part of it. I remember him asking "What am I supposed to do with all this money?" and he gave it all away to people he thought really needed it Just the kind to "give the shirt of his back" it was the kind of guy he was. During a visit at his house, he noticed I was wearing a jacket not quite suitable for the weather and he said here's a coat George that dosen't fit me around the shoulders. That's the jacket I'm wearing in the picture, and I treasure it to this day!" George Howse...

"I know that everyone who met Ray has an unforgetable story to tell, Like the night he gave me a ride home after playing at Mr C's, His car was full of friends but he squeezed me in. After sliding off of somebodys lap, we both got out in front of my place and he shook my hand with a 20 dollar bill in it. when I asked what that was for he said," George, If you had 20.00 would you have asked me for a ride home!"" George Howse...

George Howse gave me the music most of the pictures for this video. My sister Heather Webber gave me all the pictures from the early 80's when he played at the Margaree Lodge.
