Congress asked the Justice Department to investigate whether former AL MVP Miguel Tejada lied to House committee staff when he was interviewed in 2005 in connection with the Rafael Palmeiro steroids case. (Jan. 15)

  • @knowitall1975 Yes, it was illegal. It wasn't explicitly against the MLB rulebook, but neither is murder. Anabolic steroids have been Schedule III controlled substances on the federal lawbooks since 1991 ... "knowitall".

    A year later he broke the 500 homer record and then he got caught then he said he didn't know how the steroid got into his body.

  • Congress is sticking it's nose where it doesn't belong once again. Who cares if these guys used Steriod? MLB knew about it and it wasn't illegal. Congress should worry about our Irag vets getting treated like crap when they file their disability claims and this economy. This crap simply should not be making headlines. Some one prioritys are screw up.

  • people have got to get their heads out of their asses because over 50 percent of MLB players are on steroids!
